Join us for an informative session on "Using ChatGPT to Advance Your Academic Career”
In this online session, Dr Bronwyn Eager will share her thoughts on how artificial intelligence can boost academic productivity and augment academic research and teaching practices.
She’ll demonstrate how to use ChatGPT (the AI that’s disrupting all corners of academia), and how to craft ‘prompts’ (i.e. instructions) to help you maximise your ChatGPT experience to achieve all kinds of academic tasks, including writing your next promotions application!

About Dr Bronwyn Eager
Dr Bronwyn (Bron) Eager is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Tasmania, College of Business and Economics.
She has an international reputation as a Scholarly Practitioner, with multi-disciplinary research interests spanning digital skills development, entrepreneurship, gender studies, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Bron has made contributions to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through her work in developing training programs and offering guidance on enhancing digital literacies in higher education.
She’s helped over 700 academics around the globe learn about digital technologies through her free online course ChatGPT for Educators and runs monthly digital skills workshops aimed at helping members of the Higher Education community navigate the ever-changing new world of technology-enhanced work.
She was awarded a PhD for a mixed-methods study that investigated future-oriented coping, health, and wellbeing in entrepreneurs and holds a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI), and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning (Higher Education).
Prior to her academic career, Dr Eager grew an idea into a business, expanded operations across Australia, and successfully sold the business. She has also held industry roles in marketing and business development. Never one to sit still, she’s also hosted writing retreats for academics in Australia and Indonesia.
